In 2011, the Pew Research Center's Social and Demographic Trends project found that 81 per cent of respondents view housing as the best investment a person can make, despite a slump in prices that has knocked nearly a third off home values since 2006.  To help homeowners protect their personal investments, our services should be designed to help maintain and promote home values within the neighborhoods we serve.

INCREASING HOMEOWNER EDUCATION


We should be inspiring homeowners and board members to continually pursue and expand their learning and knowledge about their neighborhood and surrounding community.  Opportunities to improve the quality of life within neighborhoods will increase as board members and homeowners continue to educate themselves about their communities.

MINIMIZING THE COST OF HOMEOWNERSHIP


The decision to become a homeowner is a significant financial commitment.  Our services should be designed to help minimize the cost burden placed on homeowners to operate their neighborhood.

STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY CULTURE


A neighborhood is much more than a collection of houses, trees and streets.  It is a diverse collection of people with unique personalities, talents and interests.  In the words of a young adult science fiction writer Pittacus Lore, “A place is only as good as the people you know in it.”  While many of our services focus on maintaining the physical appearances of a neighborhood, we should also recognize that we are serving the homeowners who are the most valuable asset of their neighborhood.

HOA and metro district boards are making significant investments in their neighborhoods when they contract with management companies to manage their neighborhoods’ daily operations.  Our services should be designed to provide our clients with a high rate of return from their investment in us.  Satisfaction surveys and other communications with our clients will allow us to monitor and determine whether we are achieving this goal.
