Neighborhood Infrastructure Comparison In the table below, we have compiled a list (although very much incomplete) comparing infrastructure and amenities across covenant-controlled neighborhoods in Colorado. The data table is a work in process and we will continue to periodically expand the list of covenant-controlled neighborhoods included in the list. As of 2012, approximately 8,100 covenant-controlled communities have been established across Colorado serving nearly 235,000 multi-family homes and 605,000 single family homes. While the list will not be expanded anytime soon to cover all 8,100 of Colorado's covenant-controlled communities, the current sample of data does provide homeowners with useful information regarding the range of amenities across a variety of neighborhoods. Also, as a general observation, neighborhoods with more amenities generally have higher HOA dues and/or property taxes.

Data Definitions

# of Homes -- Number of homes within the covenant-controlled neighborhood (including undeveloped homes).

Pool -- Community pool within the neighborhood?

Indoor Recreation Center -- Indoor recreation center located within the boundaries of the neighborhood?

# of Parks -- Number of open spaces with playground equipment or other outdoor recreational facilities.

Street Widths -- Approximate width of streets throughout the neighborhood.  Although the street widths remain constant within most neighborhoods, some neighborhoods may have two or more different street widths.  In these cases, we either provide a range of street widths or the most common street width noted across the community.

School(s) within Neighborhood -- Public schools located within the general boundaries of the neighborhood.

Other Amenities -- Any amenities not classified in the other columns of data.

Data "as of" Date -- This is the date as of when the information was collected by us.  Some information may go stale over time as changes occur within the neighborhoods.
